arcMedia is a media player for Android that brings additional format support to the platform. The application is based* on the FFmpeg project.

An intelligent content plugin also provides a media streaming / download service from popular sites such as Vimeo, Veoh and many others.


The following containers and codecs are supported (please note: this is not an exhaustive list - other formats may be compatible on some devices):

Containers: asf, avi, m2v, m4v, mkv, mov, mp4, rm, rmvb, wmv, vob**

Codecs: aac, ac3, divx, flv4, H.264, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, RealVideo, xvid

* The current implementation is software based so performance is CPU dependent;
** DRM format decoding is not currently supported;
